Emerson’s Late Night Post: HCE#39

The new story line begins here. It’ll be a longish one, probably take a few weeks to get through. I promise it won’t all be Emerson typing at his computer.

I do want to point out, that the theme Emerson refers to is a general one, and doesn’t reflect my own relationship with my father. Although, the culture I grew up in did place an emphasis on one-upping one’s old man and does still haunt my 3AMs (Ray Bradbury’s witching hour).

Hope you all are enjoying the work thus far. The pace has been exhilarating and I’m really happy with some of the ideas that are bubbling in my notebook for future stories. Some things to look forward to:

Harry will begin having literary hallucinations.

Ella gets a job offer at a start up newspaper.

We finally get to meet Stan, who’s not too happy about the review his cafe received.

The background gray tint is heavy enough to interfere with my poor old eyes trying to read the lettering. Could I suggest maybe 12%K as being dense enough to set the area off, but light enough not to interfere with the lettering?

Otherwise, I’m loving the comic. More! More!

    Baldemar,

Your critique is well noted and I made the grays lighter for the computer wording in the most current comic. Glad you like it.

You make me giggle Sam. I like me a smart joke.
